Who We Are

Beams Lab is a studio dedicated to building products that generate revenue for anyone on the internet who’s built a community.

Founded by Australians Lucy Mort (ex Hinge) & Michelle Battersby (ex Bumble) in 2020, Beams Lab started as Sunroom. A platform that enabled women and non-binary creators to share exclusive content and services unlocked by their fans via monthly subscriptions. After paying out millions of dollars to creators on Sunroom, the team began to think of ways to take their learnings and expand the ways in which creators connect with their communities in private spaces, all whilst generating revenue.

Enter Sessions and Sesame. Two new products launching in 2024. Sunroom has become the foundation and we see even more potential for those who’ve built online businesss to make money.

Sunroom, Sessions and Sesame are now all housed under one roof at Beams Lab.
